About FileDO

FileDO is a fast Windows command-line tool for working with storage devices, folders, and network shares. It detects fake USB/SD cards by writing and verifying real data, benchmarks read/write speeds, securely wipes free space at multi-GB/s, finds and manages duplicate files via MD5 with hash caching, and copies large trees with progress and timeout protection. It also packs a single file into a password-protected .fd-sec container and takes it back out, or opens what is inside in the program it belongs to without unpacking it - from a read-only copy that only your account can read and that is removed when you are done with it. An empty password is accepted and means obfuscation only, not secrecy, and FileDO says so where you type it. The package registers nothing in Explorer on its own: run "filedo fdsec register" if you want the menu entries and the .fd-sec type.
